Fun Friday, part 2.

Here are the students tasting their apple tree treats:

Fun Friday, part 1.

This week's Fun Friday was a cracker and pretzel tree,
with frosting and candy for "leaves" and "apples."

Here are the students saying their apple poem before tasting their treats:

Show and Tell: Apples

Today the students had their first Show and Tell of the school year. Each Friday the students will be able to bring in something that relates to the week's theme. Then the kids will share with their classmates during circle time. Show and Tell is a fun way to practice speech and social skills.

This week's theme was "All About Apples."

This little boy brought in an apple collage he made.

This boy brought in "Ten Apples Up On Top."

OT is "OK" with us!

The students love when Ms. Sharon comes every week for OT (occupational therapy).  Ms. Sharon helps the students participate to their fullest in all areas of school, whether it be using a special pencil to help with fine motor skills, or using a "bumpy" cushion on a school chair to help with the wiggles.  Ms. Sharon also works with the students on their gross motor skills, like running, crawling, and jumping.

Two students and Ms. Sharon demonstate "Popcorn."

Curl up those knees...

...curl them up tight, now...

"POP!"

Working on abdominal support by pretending to be "Supergirl!"

Jumping on the trampoline is always fun.
