We enjoyed 3 Science Experiments this month and we continue to have so much fun on SCIENCE DAY!!!!
1st - Seasons
We split a tree into four sections to show the four seasons of a tree.
Winter - Cotton balls for snow
Spring - Popcorn for blossoms
Summer - Green paint for leaves
Fall - Fall colored paper for Autumn leaves
Ms. Robin said her popcorn looked like a little dog!!!
2nd - Earthworm Habitats
We made earthworm habitats by putting 2 layers of dirt and sand in a bowl. We placed a toilet paper roll in the middle so the worms would stay close to the sides of the container. Next, we sprayed it with water and placed 3-4 worms on top. Last, we fed the worms coffee grounds, lettuce and carrots.
3rd - Halloween Mystery Boxes
We stuck our hands in a mystery box and tried to guess what was used for the Witches body part!!!
Witches' brains-cooked spaghetti
Witches' eyeballs-peeled grapes
Witches' ears-dried apricots
Witches' teeth-corn kernels
Witches' tongue-long sliced bananas
Witches' fingers-carrot sticks
Ms. Carson pulled in some fun activities for the week of Halloween. We love OT!!!!!
We dressed up in our costumes for our annual
Halloween Parade!
LAST...we went on a Field Trip to the Pumpkin Farm
We had so much fun at the farm!!!
